What do you talk about with your hair stylist? I like to talk about real stuff – beyond the weather or the traffic. That’s why Kirsten Arkley was the perfect stylist for me. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her, but I remember talking about subjects like…….you are a combination of the people you hang out with……. passion and enthusiasm are necessary ingredients in life and…………… life as a single parent can be an adventure.

When I met her, Kirsten was raising her daughter to be like her – brave, resourceful and positive. Kirsten shared that she bought a boat that she and her daughter were living aboard part-time. She said she craved the peacefulness the boat’s location gave her and that her daughter loved it too. What a gift Kirsten is giving to herself and her daughter! And did I mention, I loved my highlights!
