It all started with the cats.

When Jim retired in 2016, we  – Barbara and Jim – left for a two-month trip to New Zealand. Our cats, Tigger and Boots, needed someone to care for them so we found a house sitter. Our experience with her was so positive and inspirational that when our little guys passed away, we started housesitting ourselves.

Since then, we have cared for precious dogs and cats from New Zealand to France, England, Switzerland, Canada, and the U.S. In the summer of 2018, we rented our home in the Seattle, WA area to create a new lifestyle for ourselves – combining our love of hiking and biking with caring for some of the cutest dogs and cats ever – and now, chickens and cows. Along the way, we’ve met some lovely people too.
